Hardwood floor repair and board replacement
You do not always need a whole new floor. Most damage is local, and a good weave-in repair disappears once the floor is coated.
What we repair
- Water damage from dishwashers, fridges and heaters
- Pet stains that have gone through the finish into the wood
- Cupped, crowned or buckled boards
- Squeaks and loose boards over joists
- Gaps that open up every winter
- Transitions where old carpet met wood
Weave-in, not patch
A square patch of new boards always looks like a square patch. We cut damaged boards out on staggered ends and weave replacements into the existing run so the seams land where seams already are.
Then it gets blended
New wood takes stain differently than wood that has been on the floor for thirty years. We sand the repair area into the surrounding floor and adjust the stain until it reads as one surface, then coat the whole room.
