Common questions

What Denver homeowners ask us first

If your question is not here, call and ask. We answer our own phone.

How much does hardwood floor refinishing cost in Denver?

Most Denver refinishing jobs land between $3.50 and $6.00 per square foot depending on the condition of the floor, the number of coats and whether you are changing stain color. We give a firm written number after walking the space, not a range over the phone.

Should I refinish or replace my floors?

If you have at least 3/32 of an inch of wear layer above the tongue, refinishing is almost always the cheaper and better option. We measure it during the estimate and tell you honestly which way to go.

How long does the job take?

A typical 1,000 square foot refinish runs three to five days including cure time. New installations depend on acclimation, usually five to seven days from delivery to final coat.

How dusty is sanding?

We run dust-containment sanders vented to an exterior collection unit. It is not literally zero dust, but it is a fraction of what an open-bag sander throws.

When can I walk on the floor again?

Socks only after 24 hours, normal foot traffic at 48 hours, furniture at 72 hours and area rugs after two weeks so the finish can fully cure.

Do you serve areas outside Denver?

Yes. We cover the full metro including Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Littleton, Centennial, Thornton, Highlands Ranch, Golden, Wheat Ridge and Broomfield.
